Will the upcoming Tundra use the current 4.6-liter V8 and 5.7-liter V8 engines? No one knows for sure. The probability of it to use those engines, however, is low. The reason is that these engines are outdated these days. Due to this, there is a good chance that Toyota is going to introduce a new engine(s) for the upcoming Tundra.
Toyota need not use an all-new engine(s), though. We do believe that the manufacturer already has good options for the upcoming Truck.
The first option will be a 5.0-liter V8 engine with an output of 394 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. If you are wondering, this is the same engine used for the Lexus LS600h. The second option is a new generation 5.7-liter V8 engine. The engines are likely to be paired with 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox.
2020 Toyota Tundra Diesel Release Date and Price
There is no official statement regarding the exact release date for the New Tundra Diesel. That being said, we expect it to be exhibited on this year’s New York automotive show. And for the price, we predict it will be more expensive than the current Tundra. The starting price for the base model will be around $30,000 and up for the higher models.
On one hand, the details about the upcoming Tundra are still unclear. On the others, there are many rumors about it as we have shown above.
