2020 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro Fuel Economy

Here is the new update Of 2020 Toyota Sequoia Rumors. The current iteration of Toyota Sequoia has been released more than a decade ago, in 2007. Since then, there are little changes for the lineup. The basic design is still the same. So are the features. While it is true that the SUV has been updated not long ago, there is a good chance that the New Toyota Sequoia is going to be a brand-new model. We expect significant changes from it.

2020 Toyota Sequoia Redesign

We expect to see 2020 Toyota Sequoia redesign. There is a good chance that the new Sequoia will get a sportier look. If this is true, a more muscular body, new and slimmer headlights, a hexagonal grille, hood scoop as well as fender flares can be expected. The rear should also be as impressive. It should complete the sportier look of the SUV.

Interior Update

While its quality is as good as its competitions, the current iteration of the Toyota Full Size SUV is certainly not the best-looking SUV in the market. For this reason, Toyota may give the new Sequoia TRD Pro a better look. We expect Toyota to use a more minimalist approach similar to Tacoma’s design. The cabin should be roomy, easy to use and nice to look at.

While these will be great if they are true, some reports suggest that the upcoming SUV will reduce its interior space. Which means, it will offer a less space compared to the current iteration.

Engine Specs & Fuel Economy

The current Sequoia uses a 5.7-liter V8 engine which is capable of generating up to 381 horsepower. While this engine is quite powerful, it is not the most fuel-efficient engine in the market. As such, the upcoming Toyota 7 Seat SUVs may not use it. The upcoming Sequoia may use a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine instead. This engine has an output of 420 horsepower. Yes, it has a bigger output, offer better performance and more fuel-efficient.

We expect the engines of the upcoming Sequoia will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission gearbox. The new SUV will be available in either the all-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive system.

There are also rumors that suggest the 2020 Toyota Sequoia may get a new diesel engine. So far, there is no confirmation from the manufacturer about this. If the rumors are true, it will be Toyota’s answer to Ford’s Expedition.

2020 Toyota Sequoia Release Date and Price

There is no exact date of release or price of the upcoming Sequoia. That being said, we expect it to enter the market somewhere between 5 and 7 months after the official unveiling. In other words, it will be released next year.  As for the price, it will likely to be in the same range as the current Sequoia.

We don’t expect to see the upcoming Sequoia soon. It is still in its development stage, after all. As proof, there are no 2020 Toyota Sequoia spy photos at the moment. While this is true, we can expect two things from the new Sequoia. First, we expect it to get a significant redesign. The current design, as well as its features, are both outdated. Secondly, we expect a more fuel-efficient engine. The current engine, while powerful, is inefficient.
