2020 Jeep Wrangler Redesign; What We Know So Far
Are you one of those people who are excited about the forthcoming 2020 Jeep Wrangler? If you are, you came to the right place. Why? Because here we have some details about the forthcoming pickup truck that will keep you excited. Let’s start.
2020 Jeep Wrangler Platform; It Will Use the Same Architecture as the Wrangler JL
That’s right. We will see 2020 Jeep Wrangler redesign since it will use the same architecture as the Wrangler JL. Based on the spy shots and released details, it appears that the forthcoming pickup truck’s front end and the cabin look very similar to the Wrangler JL. From the released spy photos, LED headlights, as well as turn signals, can also be seen.
According to experts who have looked at those photos, the forthcoming Wrangler has a windshield that uses the same design as Wrangler JL’s. Since the windshields look very similar, these experts take the design similarity as an indication that the windshield can be folded down just as JL’s. To prove their point, these experts point at the sea which runs horizontally under the glass and the edges of the bulges, which may well hinge.
A Big Pickup
We can safely say that the forthcoming 2020 Jeep Wrangler pickup has a quite big size based on its spy photos. The experts of this industry already did the math for it. If the 2020 Wrangler is going to use the JL’s platform, the overall length of the pickup is estimated to be around 215 to 220 inches long. To give you an illustration, the forthcoming Wrangler is about 5 inches narrower than the RAM 1500. While it is true that the new Wrangler may be a bit narrower than the RAM 1500, it is only slightly shorter than a full-sized pickup and is at least 2 feet longer than the JL.
It Will Not Arrive Soon
Indeed. Back in 2016, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler release date was scheduled to be in the second half of 2017. And yet, it was not released. The release date was delayed until late 2020. According to Jeep, this was done to ensure that there will be no problems with their new SUV before they even start working on a new pickup.
The date is still far in the future, which means we still have to wait. This is also why the details about this forthcoming pickup are still scarce. There is no need to worry, though. We may get a glimpse of how it will look like and/or what kind of features it will have. Most experts in the industry speculate that there will be a version of the forthcoming pickup exhibited at an auto show late this year.
What do you think? Are you getting more excited? These are what we know for the moment regarding the 2020 Jeep Wrangler. We expect the forthcoming pickup truck to be able to provide a great driving experience just as the lineup has been doing all these years. While we need to wait just a bit longer before we see the 2020 model, it well worth the wait.
