2020 GMC Acadia Redesign; Denali Trims Get Update
Here is The New Update About 2020 GMC Acadia Rumors. The GMC Acadia lineup is already in its second generation. The 2017 Acadia arrive with significantly smaller dimensions than its predecessor, which made it a lot easier to handle and maneuver. Despite being smaller, the inside still offers lots of space so it is still a great family car. The 2018 Acadia has just hit the market. And yet, the manufacturer is already working the New GMC Acadia. What will the new Acadia come with? Here’s what we know so far.
Exterior & Interior Changes
Will we see 2020 GMC Acadia redesign? Probably. While redesign may happen, we expect the upcoming Acadia to inherit the current Acadia’s clean and masculine lines. This is for the base trim, though. Higher trims, such as Denali and SLT, will get a more rugged appearance. The new Acadia will be available in 17-inch alloy wheels (standard) and 20-inch alloy wheels (optional).
We expect the interior to be comfortable and roomy. It will likely to have three seating rows and will be able to accommodate up to seven adult passengers. Five and six seating configurations will also be available. The dashboard will have a 7.0-inch touchscreen display with infotainment and smartphone connectivity (both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) included.
The base model will come with standard equipment such as keyless open and start, automatic climate control with three zones, USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot and more. As for the higher trims, the standard equipment will be included in addition to equipment such as an 8.0-inch touchscreen display, heated front seats as well as a power driver seat. The SLT-1 trim will include even more equipment, from an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitors to Bose audio system.
Engine Specs & Fuel Economy
There are two types of engine variants that will be available for the upcoming 2020 GMC Acadia Denali. The standard engine will be a 2.5-liter, inline-four engine capable of producing up to 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. The other variant is a more powerful engine, a .3.6-liter V6 engine with an output of 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque.
Both of those engines will be mated with a six-speed automatic transmission gearbox. As for the drive system, both the front-wheel-drive system and the all-wheel-drive system will be offered.
In terms of fuel economy, the base engine with FWD system is rated 21/26 (city/highway) mpg, while the same engine with AWD system is rated 21/25 mpg. As for the other engine, with FWD system it is rated 18/25 mpg while with AWD system it is rated 17/25 mpg.
2020 GMC Acadia Release Date and Price
When will the new Acadia be released? As far as we know, no exact GMC Acadia release date is announced yet. However, the new Acadia should enter the market in the second half of this year. As for the price, we expect the starting price for the base model to be around $29,000.
From what we know, it appears that the upcoming 2020 GMC Acadia will not be drastically different than the 2018 GMC Acadia. Of course, there will some changes, updates, and upgrades here and there as it should be. Yet, fundamentally there will be no significant changes. While this is true, we expect the Acadia to be a great mid-size SUV, as its predecessors have been.
