The new member of the lineup is the New Dodge Charger. Yes, the new Charger is meant to be a 2020 model. That means we will see it soon. How will it look like? What engines will it use? Read on and you will know.
2020 Dodge Charger Redesign
We don’t expect a major redesign for the 2020 model. That being said, both of the exterior and interior of the Charger is in need of a refresh. The last redesign happened back in 2011. We think it is time for the lineup to get a major redesign soon.
How will the 2020 Charger look like? We don’t expect the 2020 Charger to change much from the current model. The exterior is likely to remain largely the same. While not a major redesign is unlikely, we do expect the upcoming Charger to get a refresh. We expect it to updates like new fascia on the front and rear, headlights, taillights and so on to make it more modern and stylish.
What about the interior? The Dodge Charger lineup is known for its simple, black-centric interior. Although the interior may look simple and a bit aged, it is designed that way intentionally to attract those who love retro design. The interior of the 2020 model should be like that, too. Don’t be mistaken, though. The interior may look old, but the features and technologies certainly won’t be.
The engine options of the2020 Dodge Charger are likely to be the same as the current Charger. There will be four engine options. The standard engine is going to be a 3.6-liter V6 engine with an output of 300 hp. The other three engines, a 5.7-liter V8 HEMI with an output of 370 hp, a 6.4-liter V8 HEMI with 485 hp and the most powerful one, a 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine with 707 hp.
All of these engines will be paired with an eight-speed auto transmission gearbox with a rear-wheel drive system as the standard. We expect four-wheel-drive will be available on the V6 engine but may not be available on the V8 engines.
2020 Dodge Charger Release Date and Price
For now, there is no official release regarding the date when the upcoming Charger will hit the market. Since it is meant to be a 2020 model, we can expect it to enter production in November 2019. It should hit the market in early to mid-2020.
Not much will be changed for the 2020 Charger. Due to this, the price of the 2020 model will not be too different from the price of the current model. The price range should be around $30,800 and $68,800.
A new member of the Charger lineup is coming soon. While it may not have a major redesign most of the parts remain the same, it is still interesting to look at. After all, it is a Dodge Charger we are talking. What do you think about the upcoming 2020 Dodge Charger? Are you excited about it?
