2021 Chevy Tahoe | The Chevy Tahoe has been on the compact SUV market segment for many years now. The Tahoe is known for its reliability and powerful engines. For a large SUV, the Tahoe is able to bring a comfortable and reliable ride thanks to its handling. This year, we will see a new member of the lineup: the New Chevy Tahoe. Interested in the upcoming Tahoe? Just read its overview below.
2021 Chevy Tahoe Redesign
Chevrolet is planning to redesign the Tahoe lineup for 2021. As such, we don’t expect the 2020 Tahoe to get a major redesign. That means the upcoming Tahoe will be a carryover model. It will carry over the design of the 2019 Tahoe. Both the exterior and interior will stay largely the same.
For the exterior, it will have semi-split headlights and a grille with lots of chrome for the rear fascia just like the current Tahoe. The rugged and boxy look will still be there. Will there any tweaks for the exterior design? We don’t know for sure but it seems Chevrolet is saving any changes for the 2021 Tahoe.
Just as the exterior, the interior will more or less be the same as the 2019 Tahoe. The 2020 Tahoe will have upscale feel inside. It will be comfy and quite spacious as well. We expect features such as remote start, remote keyless entry, automatic climate control, a 4.2-inch infotainment system, and Wi-Fi hotspot to be standard features.
Will the 2020 Tahoe get a new engine? Most likely not. The engines of the current Tahoe are more than capable of handling any daily tasks thrown at them. Because of that, it is unlikely that the upcoming Tahoe gets a new engine.
The 2019 Tahoe has two engine options: a 5.3-liter V8 engine and a 6.2-liter V8 engine. The 5.3-liter V8 engine is the standard engine with an output of 355 hp with 383 lb-ft of torque. The 6.2-liter V8 engine is optional and is more powerful. It has an output of 420 hp with 460 lb-ft of torque. We expect the 2020 Tahoe to come with these engine options.
2020 Chevy Tahoe Release Date and Price
The release date of the 2020 Chevy Tahoe is still unclear as Chevrolet has yet to make an announcement. Since the upcoming Tahoe is going to be a 2020 model we can expect it to hit the market somewhere in the third quarter of 2019.
Similar to the release date, there is no official information yet about the price. Unlike the release date, however, we can predict the price with better accuracy. Due to the upcoming Tahoe model being mostly the same as the current model, the price range should be more or less the same. The starting price for the base model should be around $54,000.
It appears that Chevrolet is saving the major redesign for the 2021 Chevy Tahoe. As a result, the 2020 Chevy Tahoe isn’t going to get a major redesign. Although there will be small changes and updates here and there, there won’t be something significantly different from the 2019 Tahoe. Design, engine, and price will be the same for the most part.
