Are you a fan of Silverado 1500? If you are, we have good news. There will be a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 soon. Since the lineup has just got redesigned for the 2019 model, we will not see a major change for the New Silverado 1500. That being said, we don’t think the upcoming Silverado 1500 to be just a carryover. We can expect it to be more.
2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Redesign
In terms of design, there will be no major changes. In other words, the exterior and interior will largely be the same as the exterior and interior of the current model. This is expected. After all, a lineup will only be redesigned once in a few years or so. Since the Silverado 1500 has just redesigned, it will look and feel more or less the same as the current Silverado.
With that being said, that doesn’t mean there will be no change at all. There will, but it will not drastically change the look and feel of the pickup truck. For example, in terms of exterior, the 2020 model will have vertical traveling mirrors, the 17-inch aluminum wheels of the Work Truck trim will be painted bright silver and more optional colors for the 22-inch wheels.
As for the interior, the 2020 model will have adaptive cruise control, 15 camera views that will make trailering better and safer, and smart trailer technology that is compatible with Android and iOS, among others.
The 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 will come with various engine options, gasoline, and diesel. Below are the engine options that will be available for the upcoming Silverado 1500.
- 2.7-liter, inline-four engine
- 5.3-liter V8 engine
- 6.0-liter V8 engine
- 6.2-liter V8 engine
- 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine
Just like the current Silverado 1500, the higher the trim, the more powerful the engine will be. While that is true, there are engines that will be also available as optional for other trims. Regarding the engine, the models with a gasoline engine will be released first while the models with a diesel engine will be released later due to the certification process.
2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Release Date and Price
At the moment, we don’t know the exact date when will the upcoming Silverado is going to be released. What we do know is that the 2020 Silverado 1500 will be released in the third quarter of 2019. So it will be released soon.
No news about the price yet. While there is no official information about the price, we can expect the 2020 Silverado 1500 to have the same price range as the current model. Albeit the 2020 model is a bit different from the current model, it shouldn’t affect the price significantly. We expect the starting price of the base trim to be around $29,000 and around $57,000 for the highest trim.
The Silverado is known to be a capable and reliable lineup. The next iteration, the2020 Chevy Silverado 1500, should be as capable and reliable as the current model, at the very least. Ideally, it should be able to bring more to the table. How will the upcoming Silverado turn out? Only time will tell.
