2020 Chevy Colorado: Things to Expect | Redesign, Release Date, Price
2020 Chevy Colorado: Things to Expect | The pickup market is becoming more and more crowded these days. Yet, it seems that it doesn’t bother Chevy that much. If anything, Chevy seems to be relaxed about the pickup market situation. We can see this clearly on the New Chevy Colorado. Want to know more about the upcoming 2020 Colorado? Just read on.
2020 Chevy Colorado Redesign
In terms of design, the 2020 Colorado is most likely inherit most of what the 2019 Colorado has. In other words, most of the exterior and interior of the 2020 Colorado will be the same as the 2019 Colorado. That’s not to say there won’t be any change. There will be changes, but it won’t be drastic or significant.
The 2020 Colorado is a refresh, rather than a redesign. For the exterior, the remote locking tailgate, which is an optional feature for the current Colorado, will be the standard feature. Tire Fill Alert feature will be available on all models as well.
The same thing applies to the interior as well. Most of it will be the same as the interior of the 2019 Colorado. That being said, the 2020 Colorado will be equipped with a new infotainment system: Chevrolet Infotainment Plus. This new infotainment system includes Navigation. The bad news is that Chevy removes the Jet Black/Dark Ash interior option.
It seems the 2020ChevyColoradois going to inherit the engine options of the 2019 Chevy Colorado. Assuming there is no change in the last minute, the upcoming Colorado should have the following engine options.
- 5-liter, inline-four gasoline engine. This engine has an output of up to 200 hpand up to 191 lb-ft of torque.
- 6-liter, V6 gasoline engine. This engine has an output of up to 308 hpand up to 275 lb-ft of torque.
- 8-liter, inline-four diesel engine. This engine has an output of up to 181 hpand up to 369 lb-ft of torque.
The 2.5-liter and 2-8-liter engines will be paired with a six-speed auto gear transmission while the 3.6-liter engine will be paired with an eight-speed auto gear transmission.
2020 Chevy Colorado Release Date and Price
Unfortunately, not much is known about the release date of the 2020 Colorado. While we don’t know the exact release date yet, we can expect the upcoming Colorado to hit the market either before or on the third quarter of 2019.
Not much is known about the price as well. At the moment, no official statement has been given regarding the price of the upcoming Colorado. For the price we can expect it to be more or less in the same range as the current Colorado, between $21,000 and $42,000.
We don’t expect it to differ much from the current Colorado. In fact, 2020 Colorado will remain mostly the same with the 2019 Colorado. There should be some update and tweaks here and there, though. That’s all we know so far about the 2020ChevyColorado. If you are a Colorado fan, don’t be disheartened. It will be released soon and before the reveal, we will know more about this pickup.
